Appendix B gives
formulas for calculating the Christoffel symbols and the Einstein tensor from
the metric tensor when the metric tensor is diagonal. These formulas are applied
to the static Yilmaz theory to obtain the Christoffel symbols in rectangular
coordinates for the general static solution, and in spherical coordinates for
the Yilmaz single-star solution and for the Yilmaz cosmology model. The formulas
for the Einstein tensor are obtained from Tolman [2], and were first prepared by
Prof. Herbert Dingle.
Appendix C describes the
general principles for developing the energy-momentum tensor for the Einstein
theory, and it gives the analytical steps for deriving the energy-momentum
tensor of the Schwartzschild solution.
Appendix D derives
formulas for applying the geodesic equations in spherical and rectangular
coordinates.
Appendix E derives a table for
calculating the apparent distance to a galaxy versus the true distance for the
Yilmaz cosmology model.
Appendix F derives the
formulas for the stress-energy tensors of the general time-varying Yilmaz
theory.
Appendix G
discusses gravitational redshift and the Marmet redshift effect..
Appendix H
gives the
Bibliography for the Addendum.
